deborphan
Back in 2000, I wrote a small software utility called deborphan to make my system a little more manageable. deborphan searches for packages (libraries specifically, but also packages in general) that are no longer in use on a Debian GNU/Linux system.
After moving abroad I stopped maintaining deborphan, and it is now being maintained by Peter Palfrader of the Debian project.
You can find the source and Debian packages on the packages.debian.org website. Bug-reports, questions, etc can all be directed directly to the package maintainers.
419 Passport
This used to be my favorite passport scan to send to 419 Scammers; unfortunately, it’s expired now:

Red Hot Chili Peppers
Here are new words to “Californication” and my only flash animation ever. I made both of those roughly around 2001 or 2002 .
Bazarr Security Advisory #1
Here is the most bizarre security advisory I have ever seen. It was posted to Bugtraq in May 2003 by “the sad borderline homosexual clown. bazarr.” It describes a vulnerability in slocate in graphic detail.
SCSICheck for Solaris hosts
Here is a little script I wrote toget a quick and dirty overview of SCSI errors and warnings on Solaris hosts. This includes errors generated by “emulated” SCSI devices like FC-AL disks and hardware RAID volumes. This is not an official Sun application and should not be used for definitively deciding if hard-drives need replacing. It’s also probably riddled with bugs, but it seems to mostly work on Solaris 8 through 10. Download it here. To use, just execute the script and point it at one or more /var/adm/messages files.
TvTorrents Torrent grabber
In an experiment to try to learn Python I wrote a script to grab torrents from TvTorrents.com feeds. It supports filtering based on regular expressions and downloading via proxies. You can download it here, but there will be no support or any further development.
Sun System Controller Commands
The list of Sun System Controller commands (last updated December 2008) is back online. It lists some commonly used commands for LOM, ALOM, RSC, SP, ILOM, IPMI tool and ELOM.
